just fitted a ef giah tickford motor in my xh and having trouble starting, put the dizzy and coil from the xh into it and also the harness for the manifold, i have the timing top dead on compression stroke and no1. the only way i can get it to kick at all is by retarding the dizzy about 20deg and always stops with a backfire,i think i may have the injectors crosswired,i have a manual for a ea to ed and ef to el but the injector wire colours are different on both.....could anybody help me with the colours of the injector wires for a 96 xh ute please. all help will be welcome

are the leads in the right positions, the dizzy could be 180 degrees out,the injectors could be wired wrong.

start with the leads then recheck the dizzy.

I didn't think they ( injectors) were sequential, only 2 banks, front 3 and rear 3.
