hey guys i have a EF fairmont on dual fuel! now the problem is that when i accelerate at a constant throttle % the revs fluctuate maybe 50-100 rpm its like it holds then picks up then hold then picks up etc. i can only really notice this on fuel! im guessing maybe something to do with with the injection as it only happens on fuel!
if anyone has any ideas id appreciate it!
cheers

same thing that happenned to my previous fairlane. you will notice it while cruising on freeway. IT feels like something is choking the engine. I cleaned MAF, AIT, ISC, replaced fuel filter and air filter, plusg but all of that did not fix it. Then I decided to replace the leads and straight away fixed it. If yours is a I6, check your MAP first, then your vacuum lines and throttle sensor.

more or less its due to the ecu in closed loop mode
how old is your o2 sensor?

mine did this also, but it would gain revs slowly till 2000rpm, then rise quicker without more throttle..

changed o2 sensor and it seemed to go away, i thought it was the acc cable.
