my bro has recently invested in the 4x2 tray back. anyone got 1 or any of the ford ranger models? anything to look out for?

a mate of mine has a bravo had it since new and hasn't had any problems unless you count craching it it's nearly 3 years old and it is a turboo is your bros a petrol?

the ranger/bt50 is a completly different bit of gear to to the old courier/bravo pair the motors and gear boxes are far better.

yerr hes got the 2.5lt turbo diesel. goes very well when not carrying any weight, havent tried it with weight in it yet.

only issues with rangers is the speedo being out. no ford fix yet but.

which way? im pretty sure all australian model cars have to read 5% higher than actual road speed. whether or not thats the same issue or not is another thing. i know 105 on my ba is actually 100 on my trip comp and those speed checkers.

we got a reanger as a response vehicle down at SES. its a great car to drive only flaw is the fuel consumption. we got auto turbo diesel and took it on a trip down to vic. it was only getting just over 400km a tank on the freeway.
mind you it had less then 1000kms when we went on the trip. the consumption could get better as it racks up the kms

must be something wrong regie. Ive got a demo 4x4 auto and i regularly do 500km to a tank in the city

especially now, just had an upgrade and power windows, power mirrors, and remote centrol locking are now standard on all models.

my bros just missed out on the upgrade for central locking and electric windows. maybe u dont get that on the 2.5ltr 4x2?

what body shape is you bros ranger... i bought a 2.5L XL single cab pickup. and it has most the good s**t... like elec windows, mirrors, a/c, central locking etc..

it's going to be an interesting time when these things start to come out of warranty.

more boost, more fuel and upgraded intake and exhaust and these thing could be very fast.
