guys what set up would work better from air box to throttle body ?el xr6 set up or ef set up with twins?i have seen a few mock cars with the ef set up .is it worth fitting the ef set up to a el ?

i think its very minimal. Half a f@rt's worth, but i think the ef ones produce a slight tourqe difference but the el's make slightly more top end hp

I'd say polished mandrel bent pipe all the way.
At the last dyno day on my LPG AU ute .... the difference from stock pipe to removing the pipe from the throttle body was 5rwkw. That's a pretty decent difference ... and apparently the EF pipe is even more restrictive.

From what I've heard you want an EF air box lid and an EL piping. But personally I'd make up my own piping using some 3" stuff.

I have EF airbox lid, and EL piping.
when i upgraded from the EF piping to the EL i noticed a slight better throttle response... nothing much tho....

mate ive got one for sale atm $185 its at FTG Auto salvage for pics see the mandrel bent intake thread in the 6cylinder forum. thanx

has any one taken the piping off their EF/EL AU and gunned it??? it sounds huge!
after that i was inclined to just put a pod filter straight on the throttle body!

Go the way of a mandrel bend 3 inch pip man...
btw.. i was also at the last dyno day modded EF -snorkel on= 133.5 rwkws -snorkel off= 140.5 rwks hhmm a gain of 7 rwks

but that 7rwkw gain wasnt just the pipe, it would have also been the filter, airbox and snorkel wouldnt it?
The problem with the metal pipes is they warm up a lot more than the plastic ones. More volume, but its hotter.

Ceramic coating is one way. Heat wrap and shielding are others.
