Ride: BA XT FALCON (2003)

Location: Cairns
QLD, Australia

Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie with a question which might sounds kinda stupid. but it is bugging the bejebius out of me.

I have a 2003 BA XT Falcon. with the 4.0L Inline 6

and up until late it has been an awesome car. handles well fuel economy great..

Until the other day i pulled up at the lights and a slight rattle started in the front end... this rattle isn't all that loud but after driving around with it for 2 weeks is is really s**t me off.

Sounds like it is coming from the other side on the firewall on the passanger side. and only happens when the motor is in gear.

Any suggestions on what it could possiably be?

I'm going to record the noise tonight and post it up tomorrow for those intrested.

Cheers

Josh

yeah i'll look into the fly wheel...

i was testing it a little bit on the weekend... it is starting to do it a little louder... but then sometimes when i pull up at the lights it doesn't do it... which has got me firked...

you would think if it was the fly wheel it would do it all the time when it is in gear right?

Do the BA's still use welsh plugs?

Welsh plugs fill up holes that are formed in the block so that water jackets can be cast etc... I should think they would have them.
