Hi all,

Just wondering with all the claims I have read and heard about fuel economy improving with extractors and exhaust is it true? Just after feedback from people if they have had noticeable savings and extra kilometres per tank since fitting extractors and or exhausts.

Thanx :)

Nah want the extra power but if the economy improved that would be a bonus :)

I noticed a slight improvement, but as has already been said, extractors and exhaust tend to make the driver significantly heavier in the right foot.

I have a N/A BA I6 with Pacemaker 4495 extractors with the standard Ford cat and system. I have noticed a reduction from 13.2 L/100Km (normal, every day driving) to 12.5 L/100Km. However, the extra feel and power of the car has made me enjoy it a little more and I find that I want to push it a bit at the lights and from take off. So the economy is back up to 12.8-13 L/100Km. Getting the rest of the system (2.5" RedBack) next week. Have been told the economy will improve again. I doubt this as I reckon that I will want to hear the new note and enjoy it :D
