Much better economy after the auto to manual conversion.
Extra 50 - 100km's per tank with the manual. Auto was chewing it up.

Yep same here!

72L in a wagon, I can usually get a lot more than that in though

No mods, I get about the same as above.

i'd be more worried about your k's. just under 140k for a 4yr old car is a worse average than mine. high k's does not mean much if u look after your car. those k's i achieve per tank are correct which is testament to the fact that my car has been looked after all its life.

sorry to offend u, I carry between 300-800 kilo's of equipment & material every day. So far I can't recall the last time I've actually drove it empty loaded. maybe that would make a difference with a 83litre fuel tank. my ute gets service every 3000 to 6000k's & it doesn't see past 4200rpm, it gets looked after really good. it actually looks better then new. 8-)

mods; None of which i know, though the exhaust was changed end of decmeber last year, and seems to be a bit louder so yeah.....
kms; ~242,000
highway range; 500-550
city range; not sure...
Fuel tank capacity 68L

on the trip computer it says 14.1L/100km (thiich i think is quite alot) but the style which my dad drives, plus sumtimes the peak hours each day im not that surprised) the only time i really thrash it, is if theres a full tank other than that im quite conservative....

14.1L isn't too bad, as you mentioned the facotrs it drives with/goes through.

Anyone else have an Fairmont ghia I6 to compare economy with?

Mods: Bit of intake, Cat-back exhaust
Kms: 65k

City range: 500-600
Fuel tank capacity: 68L

So, I'm averaging around high 11s/100kms per tank. I always have about 30-50 kms left to go in the tank though, so if i ran her empty, i'd get a bit more. On ULP, i get about 50kms less.
