I've been chasing this bastard of a niggle in the engine bay, soon after starting (hot and cold) the thing sort of stalls out, low pwr, flat spots, shakey idle. after trying everything to track it down (injectors, dizzy, coil, plugs, leads, IAT, MAP, vac's, oxy sens, tps)

at my wits end I thought i'll let the blue money monster have one more feed before I condemn it and let it stay the way it is. So i swapped out the fuel reg with a genuine borch one (orgininal on the car)

I must say of late the thing is behaving very well and the stalling is greatly reduced. the drivable throttle response is great and the pwr is better, but i don't think complete, across the range.

I did once find a small vac leak on the reg hose and swapped it. so my question is, does long periods of erroneous vacuum and/or a clogging like injectors have a effect on the lifetime of a reg?

After I replaced my regulator, did find it a bit smoother...combined with AU injectors made it much better. BTW I got the XR6 regulator one.

Hate to be the spelling nazi: Diafram = Diaphragm

phong =P~
