as said the other week i was showing off to my mate (already not the smartest thing) he was giving my ford s**t so i reved it. not the new engine has done around 8000k's so i gave it a sick, anyway it reved high then just as i came off the throttle is went psshh. (easiest way to explain is sounded like a BOV)

this scared the bejezuz outta me, so i crawled home, and all wass fine (was about 3am) got home and checked her over, no obvious signs, then first thing next morning i took it to the mechanic, he couldnt get it to do it so we went for a drive (like a mechanic does when its not his car) and we still couldnt get it going, so now im f**k off, i look like a d**k, and just planted it in neutral, finaly she goes psshh. :?

after doing this 2 or 3 times we are both still stumped, then it hits him, its the rev limiter cutting the fuel. :)

just posting this up for a laugh, and to see if anyone else has had a similar experience, its just so scary when your cr does something like this for the first time at high revs. :

Well smark mechanic if he didn't know they had rev limiters ;)

Could be valve bounce, the predisessor of the rev limiter ;)

you get that on older engines, its pretty much the very furthast you can rev the thing. It will not go any harder. Not on good thing on most engines, then again i know people with clevos that use valve bounce as there "shift point" lol
