Wow i know that corner very well
take it all the time - quite often a boozebus there! went past there tonight didnt see any damage but didnt really look too hard either!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck - Was it wet? as i have taken that corner at that speed (sometimes more) and never had issues in the wet or dry

i called the cops. they were trying to get me to confess to speeding the d***head. saying "oh thats a lot of damage for 80k's" thats coz i didnt brake. they gonna try take me to court for wrekcless driving, property damage and speeding. whihc is s**t.

Not wanting to kick you while your down, but looking at the damage, and reading how it happened (and assuming you told the cops the same thing), I would be somewhat disappointed if the they were not seriously looking into the accident. When you get your next car maybe consider an advanced driving course, if not for your sake for the people and property that might be in your path next time you decide its not worth braking.

Good to hear your ok as well.

So what speed were you really doing?

Like Nick I know that corner fairly well, been round it many times generally and on cruises at 80km and sometimes more, and never had issues in the wet or dry. Same with the stock 4wd hight members. It is only a soft 30/35 degree left turn that sweeps into 2/3 lanes.

Considering you have what looks like a lowered car with decent tires, is there something you're not telling us?

the only injuries i got were brusied hip and thigh. speed was roughly around 80-85 but would not be more than 90 id also taken that corner before at higher speeds...might be able to get it 9 times outta 10 but its that 1 that makes the difference and i got that 1. also another thing. another contributing factor to the car losing control could be one of the rear tyres was on the tread wear indicator and the other one was below. and i had 2 new ones ready to be swapped too. ah well. whats happened has happened. and that cant be changed. everytime i see a nice e-series it hurts. couple more pics for yaz

i find it very interesting to see the reaction of people to this crash.
seems if you crash a ford and walk away you a very lucky person, but if you crash a skyline you're d**k head, idiot, moron, dont deserve a car.............

if you crashed your ford, i'd call you an idiot :)
I'm a member of other car forums, if anyone on there crashes their cars i feel sorry for em.
i guess its the 'closeness' as it would be.

chances are if its a skyline that crashes, we don't know them at all :P
