howdy, just wondered is the gas system inc the tank be ok to take out of the shonky ED Falcon and put into a better EB or ED Falcon/ Fairmont if so do i need to see the date on the tank or can i do it anyway if i can i'll probably have to get a new converter if the one in the current car is daggy. will it only work in ed falcons or will it work in other cars and how much does it normally cost for a mechanic to swap the gas system out of a shonky car and tank and put it into the better identical car. would it be worth it or am i better off getting them to put a new one from scratch in to the better identical car. the reason i am asking this again is no ones anwered this reply yet

You'll have to have an authorised person do the lines to make it comply and be leagal.
But since you get 2grand back from the government, your better off going brand new!

If you knew how to do it yourself then go for it.
But i'd go new, by the time they rip one out and fit the old it'll cost just as much, and as it's been said Johnny is giving $2k back, i'll be applying for my cash back after the 1st of October.

I don't want to be offensive or anything but to me gas explodes. But anyway it is a little bit cheaper but you fill up more often.

The whole gas explosion thing is crap, does petrol explode when you light it?

I'll tell you now, LPG is safer than petrol!

Gas powered cars can explode. My grandpa lost a very good mate here in Kapunda, because he was trapped by his seatbelt when the gas tank blew the car to pieces, just a couple of weeks after the installation.

Oh petrol explodes when in its a vapour, it just burns when in liquid form.

^^^you have a higher chance of dying in a car accident then your LPG exploding, like 1 in a 1000000. the only thing that can blow a car to bits is with high explosives, not gas. the only way a gas tank explode if you have equal amount of compressed oxygen in the gas tank & a spark within.

i Knew a guy who torched his XE Falcon years ago, car was destroyed except for the full tank of LPG, that was the only thing intact.

All it takes is 1 bad story to scare people.

Did you know that you can get hit by a car when crossing the road? "DON'T cross the road!
