Hey all
I own a 95 EF farimont soon to be running an impco Gas system.
I'm also about to purchase a pre-programmed J3 chip to go with all the Mods i have already done to my car, my question is though, will the chip interfer with the gas computer?
the chip will be installed after the gas.
Oh and also does the J3 interfer with the power/economy feature?/

cheers

the J3 should actually be able to replace the gas chip. have a look around for the BIN's that are the gas ones

If the J3 chip has the tickford lpg ignition maps then your car should be better fuel and economy according to other people using tickford lpg ecu.

The J3 chip wont interfer with the gas computer at all, its 2 separate things and the gas ecu controls consuption and so on.

The LPG Computers generally just make minor fuel changes.
normally Closed Loop control for Cruise or adjustments for WOT.

The J3 changes spark maps.
They will run together fine, but are completely separate.
