Yer my engine bay is clean two lol. I have one that has lasted 2 years an its still blue looked the same as the day I got it

Well done, I am glad that it has lasted for you.

The main thing would be that the Gates belt will outlast a stock (generic) belt. The thing with Gates belt is they don't show the normal wear that a Bosch or other standard belt will. Gates actually supply a special tool to check the wear on their multi rib belts.

Why would the pulleys have oil and corrosion on the belt surfaces? Haha. Hate to see you're enginebays

Have you seen my engine bay?? Obviously not.

Why does a mild steel water pump pulley stay clean and free of corrosion on the running surface? Becase the belt slowly polishes it and wears the oxidised metal. FFS..

Acually cheaper than a Bosch at Super Cheap.

Blue will mark instantly due to oil and corrosion from the pullies and coating will wear off after about a week and look shabby.

That was ment for this guy.

The engine bay in his car is basically spotless. Hardly drives the thing.

Im running a blue one in the ba xr, cost me $38 from supercheap from memory. Only thing is its not so blue now days even though its only done 3000kms, got black lines through it now. But still looks fairly good compared to a plain black one

I do have to admit that there was no ticket prices, and the kid that served me took a good few minutes to find the price so he could have easily typed in the wrong price
