try adding some moore transmission fluid, maybe 500ml, it could be slipping due to it being low.

First thing to check would be the transmission fluid level, hot , at idle, in park.

the gearbox has had a full transmission service cause the solenoids were coming up as faulty in the computer testing... hence the reason y the valve body was changed

If the fluid levels ok, service or not, you should take it back to where it was serviced and have them recheck their work. They should be able to tell if it's in the box or if the the torque converter has packed it in.
Cheers,
Paul

Could also be incorrect fluid in box. Should be 95le.

you have probably got a different problem to him. He has an auto, so it's not likely to be his clutch cable. :D

Ghia97's right, make double sure they used 95LE [TQ95], if they used Dextron3 the box will not work as it should.
