I thought about this since i have to pull a pulley off my water pump. 2 planks of wood that have a circle cut out of the centre with an open end, so that you can slide it in between the pulley and the water pump (don't use a too thick of a plank of wood). One plank of wood to have either 2 or 4 holes on either side of it so that you can use bolts and nuts as a leverage type thing...i'd say 2 is enough but i have never tried this. So have the 2 planks of wood sandwiched in between the pulley and pump, 2 bolts sandwiched between the planks of wood, then using a shifter/spanner, undo the nut in the bolt and the 2 planks of wood should come apart and with it slowly pull the pulley off...

Remember this is just a theory i had in my head, never tried it and not too sure how much force is really required to get it off...

not sure how you can put it back in though, maybe a plank of wood with a hole in the centre for a bolt that fits in the centre of the pump and screw it in? buh

hope that works...if you are going to try this, please give me results =D

phong =P~

Phong!

Man, don't touch my car ... or house!

Throw the damn pump out, buy a new pump/pulley.

never refit an old pulley on anything if you've taken it off.

Last resort is to press the pulley on in a vice with gussets so you only press on the shaft, not the impellor, or installed with a driven screw.

I'm taking my pulley off, cause its a chromed steel pulley. not the crap plastic one that probably will break off if you attempt to take it off. I am throwing the pump out, just not the pulley with it :P And don't worry krytox... your car is safe from me :P
