Ive been noticing with my car that it doesnt fire up on the first turn of the key.

The car turns over well still.

But it just doesnt want to start off the first turn of the key. Sometimes it takes the second turn of the key even third.

This tends to happen more so when the car his already warm, and occasionally I give the car very little bit of pedal to rev it so it fires.

My car is on dual fuel. I start it on the LPG side. I have petrol in the fuel tank incase you ask.

Could this be an electrical issue? Like ignition, coil pack etc?

I recently changed plugs and leads. Plugs set to 0.8mm gap.

hmmm I've had the same problem though mine is more intermittent, I think when it happens I just turn the key to "on" for a few seconds then go to start the car, what causes it i'm not entirely sure could be that gas is escaping the tube from the converter to the intake its a wild guess though

Im thinking the coil could be losing some spark?

I know LPG is temperamental and love spark and is sensitive to it.

The car starts first time on petrol.

might be the bem. there is a relay or something that sticks. if you give it a whack while trying to turn it on see if it that makes a difference. if it does should try and replace it. its located by the drivers left knee under the dash. Few ppl including my self have been having this problem lately.... maybe ford programmed them to fail around this time :P

my ef does it sometimes when its warm, struggles to start on the first time. the only way to describe it is that it feels really weak.

mines not dual fuel though i would like to know what it is. it did it when i first got the car n i changed plugs and it didnt really help.
