At what speed / RPM range did you experience the droning?
I do have a reso and I have a little drone right on the 100km/h mark.
But any more or less in speed and its not there...very odd.

Mine drones from about 2000 - 2400rpm on the highway, if I had a 3.08 diff I would probably be right, but it's a 3.23 diff.

Well i got a cat back on my 5 speed - and it doesnt drone at all - from what i can hear anyway!! There shouldnt really be a difference between extractors and a system compared with a cat back system should there?

And whoever cut the muffler off should have left more pipe so that it can be used later...

lol.... have you ever used a mig welder before, it's a piece of cake to weld a 2.5in pipe back to that muffler.. jeez..............

I was doing s**t like that in the 3rd week at TAFE......

Only paid an exhaust fitter to remove the hotdog because i didn't have a hoist or pipe press handy and stuff trying to do it with the car on ramps or stands..... I'd rather just pay the man the money.................although i did fit the high flow cat and pacies myself, that was a piece of piss..............

Lol, easy and easier are two different things! Theres a WIA 215 mig welder down the shed, pulls off some absolutely perfect welds. So i can weld, its just easier if theres a bit more to play with! :D

Im still tossing up doing this, ive got a 2.5" straight through system but the rear resonator is a stock one and it sounds pretty boring.

What do yas reckon a decent exaust fitter would charge to remove it and weld some 2.5" pipe in?
