Hey guys,

In other posts ive been reading about extractors between JMM race series, and Pacemaker comp series.. being the top 2

Well today i rang up to enquire bout getting a lukey 2.5in system cat back.. and i just asked how much for a set of pacies to fit.. and the reply was "pacemaker are s**t and i should look at hurricane"..

or Genie for a bang for ya buck system - (a mate has genie, not a fan)

anyhow he wanted 1400 bucks to fit a set of hurricane extractors and a 2.5in mandrel system.. what do you guys think..

Im still leaning towards the pacemakers or the jmm series.. more toward jmm series..

Im going to go ahead with the 2.5in lukey system with 2 straight through mufflers.. and im still undecided on extractors..

Mark from It's performance pushes me towards pacemaker with lukey.. and naturally Jim mock pushes me towards his race series with his exhaust system and not lukey..

HELP!!!!!!!!!! any info would be great

Mate i got PAcemakers with Walker Hi-Flow Cat and Lukey 2.5inch system all fitted for $780 at Carline in Perth. Sounds awesome and the pacemakers look good.

I beg to differ, Hurricane was developed by Liverpool Exhausts and for the V8s at least, their extractors are better than both the Genie and Pacemaker offerings.. Not sure if it's the same for the I6 but I'd look into it more.

hmmm.... had not heard that hurricane extractors were that good, I and I have always looked at the difilipo exhausts and wondered if they were any good, so its interesting to hear a recommendation on thier products.

Hurricane are far from exciting for the I6. I didn't realise that they were a good option for the windsor. I'll have to sus it out.

JMM or Pacies. JMM will be port matched to your stock head, pacies have slightly larger primaries.

That said, I'd go with the Pacemaker comps.. They breathe just that little bit better than the JMMs.

The HPC 'race series' are quoted as $ 790 which is a fair bit. I would go the Paccies.

drone - You still have not said much about the girl in you avatar.

Yeah for $790 you should be able to get Pacemaker comps and a 2.5" mandrel system fitted.

Okay, seeing as we are talking extractors 4 the I6... what is an ideal size exhaust system to run???

I measured my EA's exhaust, 2 1/4" by the looks of it... is that a standard???

My current set up is full of rust holes, and the cat is shot... I need to replace it and I need some advice. I've heard some people say 2 1/4", some 2 1/2", 3"... what is the benefit/tradeoff.

Thinking of getting a straight through, I've never heard one before, how loud are they????
