My EB is just under $1,000 with NRMA per year. That is comprehensive, insured for $4,000, pay by the month (extra $130) and hire car option. Also I have 65% no claim bonus and multiple policy discount.

Also in NSW we need Compulsory Third Party insurance to get rego. That's around $600 for me, but it just about halves when you turn 27.

How much is it for a NC with a engine not missing two cylinders? I had forgotten NC's also come without a V8.

try driving sydney to brisbane day in day out in a b double then you will know about harrasment.
as had been previously said harden up if you love cars you will get fines.
have ur licence ready, dont get out of your car, turn off interior lights,
be polite ,dont answer any questions other than saying your going home .
dont argue you will get more fines the spray or worse.
dont have stickers or poof lights on your car,
dont cruise on known roads on fri/sat night or take your friends home from night clubs or to houso streets to get on.
stay away from your car if the cops are near it. NEVER open your bonnet unless theres a fire.
and the most important thing dont have bald tyres .

Probably blame it on Australia being apart of OPEC more than what side of the hemisphere we are on, Australia more than produces enough oil for both Aus and NZ, we even get screwed with prices, if Arab prices go up so does ours, if they go down they just state our prices are based on Singapore prices, funny that?

On a serious note that sucks guys, how much is your insurance on average?

Mine costs more than that- Only afford three months at a time so watch the dollars clock up real quick. About double...!

And when you say "warrant every six months" that means they check your car with a fine tooth comb every six months and you have to replace tyres with 2.5mm tread left on them, shocks, door hinges......

Wow, shouldn't find to many unsafe cars over there then, reverse of here, but that is pretty hard on.
