Well,

As some of you guys might know i fitted a chiptorque chip to my VCT with dismall results anyways been having a yarn with a couple of blokes that know a thing or two about the trusty 4.0.

Now this is what the plan is to do very soon----
Matchport and hone the BBM manifold
Increase TB to 65mm
take the VCT head off and get a standard 4.0 head and go nuts
fit a Haltech computer and lasty get rid of the single spinner 3.45 and put in a L.S.D centre-2500 stally and transcooler.

Mentioned this also in the AU FALCON>COM>AU buildups section of ford forums with mixed results..........

People that know me know that i just dont give money away for charity even though Chiptorque think they have but its getting sorted.

I really dont think you are gonna notice any power difference what so ever with these 2 mods. Unless you are running 200+rwkw i dont think its needed, the throttle bodies arnt restrictive in stock form, they are quite large.

the TB is already 65mm

you could try doing some work to the VCT head and keeping the cvt there.
get a few cheap cams and see what you can do.

would be interesting to see what happens

Yes it will be very interesting to see what happens.

Just ill get to munch more BA's and put people in their place afterall there is a fair bit of BS flying around these days.

Joe and Reynold at cresent will be doing the work as the results from some of thier work have been excellent.

have you done a extractor, cat and exhaust system.

and have you go a oild aiir induction system.

because without the could air induction you wont be getting any more air in so the bigger tb isnt gonna do nothing.

and theres no point in getting a haltech chip if you dont have the performance cams to play with.

free up your engine first intack and exhaust then start working on internals.

and keep the vct.

Sure do im running Advance headers-2.5 high flow cat-2.5 exhaust.

Cold air induction consists of -SS induction-redline airfilter-3"Pigpipe

Computer atm is a ???? as the VCT can be played with and results can be achieved greatly.

You could just whack a filthy big turbo to the side of the motor. 8-)

Or even a smaller one - chances are even a dodgy setup will increase the amount of power the car has by a fair bit. A cheaper setup will still most likely be better value than spending any more on NA mods.

Well if i want to spent over $8000 id go get Cortina or Torana with nice V8 so forced induction is off the list im only after another 15-20kws possibly as touch more.
