Hey Guys...

Wadecams now officially released this profile. so here are my results...its a 1636C977B, (a mix of 977b and 1636) and can be found on wadecams site with its specs under popular profiles, and also here http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45761

For me to get a full 977b, with no headwork (being a 91AA head), i would of LOST power, so scott has told me, i would of only had power (if any) up high in the rev range causing it to be a fuel guzzling slug. I do no have aftermarket springs or ecu, i dont even have XR springs...its all standard.

Havent had a dyno run yet, (last cam, the 1636 was got me 155.6rwkw), i can say that this new profile is outputting more torque then the 1636 becuase 4th gear hits 180km/h in the same time as the 1636 would of hit 160km/h, im sure of it.

The night of the cam, i had half a tank, scotty (gthofan) and Mark (mark_td) in my car and this is it climbing to 100km from standing start thanks to scottys camera phone, so take the weight into mind :) Now please , for the love of god listen, 2nd pretty much hits 100 (97km/h), ive had many people say, thats slow, coz there counting my 3rd gear shift into the 0-100 time, but im not a quick shifter into 3rd, n i generally miss it anyway (if you came to calder that night with the e series club, you would know)...and if you count third, its like 8 seconds to 100, (takes me like 1 1/2 seconds to shift), so were pretty much counting to the end of 2nd gear (97km/h) http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/Grechie/?action=view¤t=MOV00011.flv

I have reset my ECU, which helped alot in terms of idling but it does still hunt alot. I have done at least 500km's with this 1636C977B...

Just now, and i dont know why, my pedal is feeling alot stiffer...and yes, car does run richer then before., so im looking into fixing that with aftermarket engine management or chip. (pending on dyno A/F result really)

This one feels more powerfull, and has more torque then the 1636, and has a street idle, hunts more though http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/Grechie/?action=view¤t=MOV00009.flv

Anyway im dying to know what power its making now....so as soon as i get some money up ill dyno it first before i take it back to calder park :)

That's my experience so far...I'm happy to answer any questions if any.

- Grechie

So you were running rich after this cam? I'm looking into getting this cam in the near future. My engine is dead stock aside from the usual pissy mods (catback, snorkel, thermos) and I want to know if you think this cam will be alright in this situation. If I need other bits, which bits will these be? Valve springs? Chip/ECU?

ive found that it didnt like running in my stock ea head (didnt really give me any gains), having converted to CMS stage 2 she runs a lot better and slightly more power, im looking at head work soon with larger valves and springs which might allow it to run better but not very sure

HI GRECHIE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE 1673 CAM IS GOING TO BE OK WITH A EL 4.0L AUTO? I JUST BOUGHT THE 1636 CAM TO BE SAFE BUT I REALY WANTED THE 1673 CAM. I WILL BE PORTING ME HEAD & GIVE THE ENGINE MORE COMP. AT THE MOMENT I HAVE A CAMTECH CAM
IN IT WHICH GIVES ME AWSOME ACCELERATION (TORQUE 385NM) BUT LAKS POWER (120KW). WHICH CAM OR BOTH WILL GIVE ME THAT BALANCE BETWEEN TORQUE & POWER WITH YOUR EXPERIENCE HAVING HAD BOTH CAMS IN YOUR CAR.
