If i've read this thread right, still a stock head & bottom end, just the cam, vernier gear, exhaust work, T5 manual & diff gears? Impressive!

Cheers

Some of these E-Series engines are freaks

Here is details off TI Performance Web Site - unsure if its an AU motor though

ACL Rebuilt bottom end
Stock 91AA EB Head with 40 thou shaved
AU Headgasket
AU 6 Injectors
68mm Throttle Body
Pacemaker Comp 4480's with 3" flange
3" Cat & 3" Exhaust
ED XR6 300kpa FPR
Stock ED Inlet manifold
AU XR6 Alloy Tailshaft
3.7 LSD
EL ECU with J3 Chip

Although I do think the external pods helps a tad :)

Interesting. I have heard the 91AA EB heads are the best stock non tickford heads. Do you know what comp -40 thou would give? I've got one sitting in the shed from a EB series 1 i wrecked for that very reason lol. Next time i have to do a head gaskit, i'll be getting the 91AA reco'd, maybe a little port work done as well & fitting it up.

We all know how tough the stock bottom ends are on the 4lt, so it doesn't surprise me too much.

Cheers

I have heard the 96AB EF head is the best head.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

There's mixed opinions about the best flowing heads in stock form. I've read on some Autospeed article that the 94AB (EF) is the best non-tickford head. Have also heard rumors about the 91AA head flowing the best in stock form so who knows. The 94AB head is so close to being identical to the 91AA upon comparison - i had both of them side by side on a bench at home and could not find a difference between them apart from casting numbers, half moon differences and the oil galleries which are cast larger on the 91AA head. The chamber design looked identical, had the same valve guide bosses, same valve sizes obviously and the ports appear to be pretty much the same.. Anyways..

I'm amazed at the results you have got with the EA, Grechie.. Would of never expected those results on a stock head. I was expecting a little valve work and a good pocket port at least to get those kind of figures lol. I'm sure the other guys running 13's in their e-series will have some head work done. Wonder how well it would go with oversize valves and head work to suit  Awesome work dude!! Look forward to seeing videos of the next run down the strip :P

I'm sure you are wrong on the headwork. OED had a stock AU head for his 13.8 and turbodrift has a 91AA head on his Brock EA. Neither are ported. They are the only 3 apart from JMM to run 13 sec passes N/A.

thanks for the comments guys!

yea i'm not to sure if it would gain anything by getting headwork, thats why im happy to just leave it as it is really :)

& to clarify yep its a EA T5 with 3.7 gearing !

Those specs from that website are correct minus the J3 now, as its stock tickford ecu at the moment.
