Hi ricatt

Sounds like the inhibitor switch may be playing up....thus the car thinks the box is in gear and wont let you tuen the starter over.... they tend to get a lot of s**t in them which throws out the resistance...

Fuzion wrote a doco on removing, cleaning (and replacing if needed) the inhibitor switch.... maybe this is still kicking around somewhere?

EDIT: go to this page:

http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/search.php

And type in 'inhibitor'

Should get a decent list of threads on the topic.

Cheers
Martin H

lmao...dont bother trying to take it off n fix it.

More often than not when u get it off ull just break it...trust me..done it twice. Even if you do get it back together they never work gr8...gives you problems with tail lights n much more. Dont waste your time, just go n buy 1 from the wreckers, its about a $40-50 part...once u got 1 ur cheering again.

But yes that will be your problem.
