I just had the Harmonic Balancer let go on me... :roll:

Does anyone have any tips on changing the bastard....
Also, gotta love Ford spare parts.... $245 (Roughly) for a new one !?!?!?!

You will pay ~$100 from auto parts stores for a remanufactured one

As for removing it - crack the bolt in the center and back it out 1/2 way. Put a pulley remover on it and pullit up to the bolt, then back the bolt out a little further and repeat until the balancer comes off.

yep ^^^ what he said easiest to remove radiator as well u might be able to do it with fans removed ive only done it to a motor thats out of the car

I just picked one up for $83 inc Tax... So at least I can afford to eat this week Lol !

Matti, need a hand, Me and Renold did mine recently, all we had to do was remove the thermos, was plenty of room. Also, makes it a s**t load easier if you have access to a rattle gun
