i have been looking over all the pics of E series fords and have noticed that the intake runs from the engine round to the right and down, has anyone exchanged the battery around with the air box for a more direct line of flow?

If so how did it go and was it hard!

It may be something i might try out.

I think you would get to much heat from the exhaust for it to be efficient.

the gains would be minimal compared to the effort, and your time would be better spent elsewhere!

the gains to be had from intake work aren't nearly as good as a cam/head/exhaust etc! :)

i think you would have to many problems with heat aswell and as uglybob said you would be wasting your time..

i'm sure there's ways around the heat.

as uglybob said the gains wont justify the work...

the air bos wont fit on the other side so you'd have to make one.

i have a pipe made up that will go from the TB to the box you'd have to make. it's polished stainless steel. if you want you can have it for $60

with that one you use the flexi join from an EL or AU to conect it to the TB.

thats about as far as i got befor the plan for the new engine got drawn up. and that intake manifold and pipe just wont work so i stoped working on it.
