I have a bit of time while I wait for my wade cam to arrive so I can complete my head gasket change. I was looking at the standard exhaust part that bolts up to the headers.

The pipe leading to the cat has a ID of 60mm (same as my redback cat back exhaust) but the pipe from the rear of the cat has an ID of 46mm. Has anyone had this 40cm worth of pipe replaced? Is it possible to weld on the back of the cat?

Yes I know I am being tight but I will get a set of extractors soon; my wife will kill me if I spend any more on the car at the moment. My EF also needs a head gasket replaced as well so any real spare cash will go towards that. (talk about bad luck both went in the space of a few weeks)

I just figured it would be a worth while and cost effective improvement as the headers arn't too bad for a factory exh man.

Feelings / thoughts????????

Will post picks if can in gallery? Not sure how yet.
