ok, not saying it will work for everyone. but i have seen someone with a fairly worked car, gain 30rwKw, due to the fact that he had done evrything possible to his car, and the old cat was a major choke point.

IMO i think it just comes down to how much work is done to the car, what type of engine it is, and how bad the old cat really was.

As for there performance gains I doubt it, but Magic Cat is actually a really good brand and there products are ace. Very very very popular with the XR6T's!

Get your car dyno'd show "Magic" your results and ask them to guarantee 20rwhp or the return of your hard earned inc labour see what they say to that?

I've been lookin at the same cats too as mine is way f**k!

i noticed nothing but a GAIN when going from no cat to having a cat... i gained low end power, didnt seem to lose any top end either. Sure im only pumping out 130 odd rwkw but then that only puts the 20rwhp claim into perspective... you'd have to be making some big numbers, which would mean that that 20hp is merely a few percent.

I read the article in Zoom about the magic cat. It was fitted to a seroiusly worked turbo soarer. The cat in question was an upgrade from 3in to 4in, and as a result, the vehicle made a little more boost, and when tuned with some more timing and fuel it did make the claimed 20rwhp, and from memory it was 20rwkw,not hp. On a modded falcon, i think the gains would be minimal, but on a turbo engine pushing big boost, a 4 in cat is gonna make a huge difference compared to a 2.5-3in jobbie
