You already know what role a head plays for an engine yeah? If you purchase another head its most likely going to be a head that has had the inlet and outlets ported and polished. therefor allowing more fuel and air into the chamber. you obviously know what a camshafts role is in an Engine yeah? Aftermarket camshafts basicly alters your valve timing. |

Well the camshaft operates the opening and closing of the valves that take in the fuel/air mixture and the valves that release the exhaust gasses. By changing the cam, you can change when the valves open to get more power however sacrifice idle speed. Thats is why (for example) VTEC by honda changes the cam position or something at high revs to get more power whereas its removed when the engine is at a lower speed or else the engine would stall.
