heay guys whats the best head bolts to run with my el xr6 and the au head gasket vrs kit just stuck on what bolts to use what do u guys think?

Just go to Ford and get the genuine ones. They don't cost too much and they work a treat. It'll be the AU style bolt, but won't make much difference. I used it and it's fine.

ok thanks mate and whats a good cam to use with a bit of head porting without going aftermarket ecu i already got a chip so the ecu would be a bit of a waste

I have a Wade1673 which is giving a nice 144rwkws. Of course thats with the inclusion of other mods. Nothing wrong with wade that I have found so far.

A Dev5 would be nice as well from JMM. Could try a CMS stage 3 but not sure how well that would go since I don't know much about the CMS stuff.

CrowCams might also help you out if you give them a ring, though the cams are dearer.

well thats i fair wack of grunt then how much is the standard xr6 motor at the wheels i calculated it to be around 108/110rwkw is that right for a auto?

glennaux managed to get 114rwkw out of his stock EL Fairmont Ghia...which is running the same gear as an EL XR6 I believe. So you're about right with the rwkw figures.

cool cause me and my mate from work are having a bit of a power war lol he has a vr v6 with throttle body 2.5'' cats back cold air a chip and a few other things and it makes a pissy 98rwkw but he still thinks it will beat mine

Even though it is 98rwkws, the automatic transmission in the Holdens have better gearing then the Ford, and not to mention they are lighter and so don't need as much power to take it as far as a fat Ford.
