getting back to bruce next week, he currently has 2 of his 6cyl race heads at another workshop in adelaide being throated, i have an el tickford head and have been told "el tickford the best flowing factory head in the e series" "the best to do work to" now on that note im waiting to see how much it costs him and then im gonna send mine away to be done ( if its a good price), my question to you is, has anyone else had headwork done and what kind of gains did you personally see or experience, did any of you guys come accross any problems? like heat related issues or anything else, fill me in on your experience, your positive comments are much appreciated, your negative ones can get f!@ked, cheers

I had my gt40p heads and manifold on my stroker ported in adelaide,cost $1,100 they flow around 480hp,my engine builder has a set of heads he showed me which were ported at a well know performance workshop at a cost of $2,000 and they look rough as guts so he's going to fix them up,he gets heads sent to him from all over oz to be ported,he's even had afew from the u.s.

yeah from what he said it might be from the 900-1500mark, anything in between, he finds out next week i think... but have you had any issues like higher water temp or anything, power differences anything that i could/should know or would like to know

i know of one guy peter schaffer in adelaide is said to be one of the best for modyfying and machining v8 heads......

Have you searched the forum - I remember reading and replying to heaps of threads on this topic and CBF repeating it all again.

yeah i did a search, but the things i found are not relative to the questions of issues after having it done

No issues at all except i've done a headgasket but theres prob. other factors why that may have happened,but we r comparing apples with oranges as i've got a 347 and your really interested in a 6,just giving u an idea on price for 2 heads and manifold porting.
