hey all

as per title - have been told to cut back the valve guides to remove extra restriction - should i take them right back flush with the ports? both intake and exhaust sides? anything to be careful of? will be done in-situ as the valve seats have already been done so can't be bothered doing them again! :P

cheers!

Leave at least half of the valve guides.

It will flow better if you streamline the valve guide boss instead of removing it. You may go backwards if you cut it out completely.

Remember, the shorter the guide, the more it won't last.

You will lose compression but can gain it back by shaving the head but you gotta know how much.
