very slow leak approx 1 litre every 5000km's, oil is clean no sign of coolant in oil, car travelled apprx 200,00km's. have heard that head gasket warps because of heat transfer from alloy head

Because the alloy head is so large, and heats at a different rate to the steel, damage can occur to the head gasket. 1 litre every 5000k's isnt overly bad. Mines worse at times!
