Hi All,

Just wondering if the AU radiator header tanks are the same as the earlier EB-EL items.

Thanks,

Justin.

Damn, I was all excited about replacing the tank in my EB as well! Thanks mate, I'm off to ebay to buy the right one!

The AU one fits on the shock tower, I have an AU one for mine I was going to fit but the requirement went away. With longer hoses (AU) and a little bit of work it should fit and it is better positioned height wise than the E series.

Thanks mate. I've got an AU I can fit it to anyway, so I think I'll just buy the correct e-series one.

I am Pretty sure from EBI to EL it is the same part, but depends on like if it has the water sender in it

Is it possible to remove/replace the coolant level sender? I had to change the header tank on my EB but the one I got didnt have the sender and I cant get the sender out of the old tank without destroying the rubber/plastic plug.
Ended up just leaving it unplugged, but the red flashing coolant light on the dash can be irritating.

That's what black tape is for!

The sender should just screw out from memory. To get it into your new tank, just cut/drill a hole and silicone the thing in. You can get specific tanks to suit the sender.
