So what does that actually do. You do it once or twice and just leave it?

i dont know how true this is, but the lecturer at trade school said to put some rice down the intake while holding revs at 3000 rpm. not too sure about it blocking the cat up though. water will work too
|

f**k, and we were worried about the occasional fine particle of dust getting through the K&N....

u can use water or brake fluid...
hold the car above 3000rpm or above take the pcv valve hose of and SLOWY pour the water down the tube... ie a few mls a second the idea is that when the water hits the hotter softer carbon it is dissoveld/dislodged
