sorry mate, i am a little confused. Are you saying I need to take the resistor out? I pulled the glove box this arvo and I could see it but I am not sure how taking this out will allow me to clear all the leaves etc out. The funny sound is coming from lower down under the glove box and would I not have to get into the fan to clear the crap out???

cheers again

James

Once you take that resistor out there will obviously be a hole, turn the fan on and guaranteed it will blow leaves out... Mine did.
I can't remember if you can get your fingers in there to scrap some out or not, it's been a while for me.

I've got an AU Fairlane 5.0.

With the rebate on LPG conversions mate the cost of fuel isn't such a worry.

Mine was getting 500 to a tank of petrol with a mixture of city and highway driving, not too bad for an 8.

I just finished off my LPG conversion on monday.

yeah i was chatting to my brother about this car today. he said it would be fine if i went with an lpg conversion. I believe there is a bit of a waiting period atm???? no surprise.

sounds like good value for only $9000 but I have not really looked into xr series. Hard to tell when looking at carsales etc as the prices vary so much for cars that all seem so similiar. the onyl thing that worries me with this one is the ks on the engine. not keen on replacing another engine on a car.
anyway thought i'd get a second opinion on it as it does sound good.

cheers

How many k's has Kevs got on it again?

Mine has 230 now and still runs perfect, doesn't use any oil and runs smooth with plenty of power for what it is.

Well in all my time here i've never heard of it, and we have a lot of guys who know the ins and outs of EL's like DC.

If there were a 3 i reckon we'd know about it.

But who knows, it could be a well kept secret.
