Hey fellas just thought i chuck this out there i was inspecting why my heater was absolute s**t today and checked the heater tap and lines for vaccum etc etc witch all turned out to be just fine so next step was to remove the heater tap witch i did and problem found!! the little rubber butterfly inside had all swolen up and was severly restricting my flow when my heater was on hot. So a quick trip down to ford for a newie which was slightly different by the way and now it is all good. So if anybody is experiencing similar probs this may well be worth a look in.

Yeah Nick had the same problem, replaced the tap with a new all plastic one no worries.

My heater doesn't work very well either - will have to check the heater tap methinks. All I get is 'luke' warm air if anything. I hope it's an easy / cheap fix - how much was a new heater tap just in case fellas ?

Thanks,
Steve

I don't exactly recall how much the one I bought was, however it wasn't expensive <$20.
These taps are normally open without vacuum. So when you buy it it should be fully open. The one I got wasn't, so a slight bend in the actuator arm fixed that.

How do I replace the Heater Tap on an EF 6 please? Instructions or directions to link pls.

Long story but it's not holding water and can't drive until replaced.
I have the new tap but can't find the instructions in the Gregory's manual either.
Please help ASAP

Is it not just two hose clamps and a vacuum hose?
