what do i do? got in my car before, started it up and without me putting my accelerator down the car was gaining speed like something was pushing down on the accelerator??what do i do to fix it?i need help..please email me your suggestions, independent_allstar@hotmail.com i am 18 and cannot afford a new bloody motor. what do i do.

check that the throttle isn't stuck open

is it accelerating hard? what revs at idle?

its a 1991 xf falcon, it gains about 5kmh every 100 metres or so...i dont no s**t all about cars so yuh haha f**k hell.

OK ALL GOOD..WENT OUT TO CHECK EVERYTHING AND ITS NOT DOING IT ANYMORE...yay! dont know what went wrong with it though. was weird

that would be an XG then, in that case id be checking the TCM or the Throttle Control Module thats usally the case when this happends, try giving it a clean with carby cleaner or WD40.
