cheers guys i ended up dfitting them on by taking the steering arm off and taking my car of the jack which made the sway bar move
but now i have other problems it feels like it rubbing on my steering arm which is making my car vibrate pretty badly and you can feel the extractors hitting the steering arm as you give it a bit of a boot is there some sort of adjustment or trick to get rid of this

on the plus side my car has now got a bit more of a screaming sound and also alot more torqy through the rev range i can notice a bit more power even when driving normally it just takes so much less acceleration to get to speed

I just can't see why they don't fit.
They are either bent, or something else is out of alignment...engine mounts...car is crooked from a crash......something.
Like I mentioned earlier, I had 4480's on the EA, then swapped them over on to my ED....fits good, no touching/hitting anything.

was just thinking if u have changed the passenger side mount maybe its a touch taller than the genuine mount and is leaning your motor to the drivers side a bit. do the e series cars have a slot in the mount base so u can loosen both mounts , jack the drivers side of engine up a little and tighten the mounts again?

OK...some photo's of the Pacie comps 4480's fitted in an ED sedan. They previously lived in the EA, and no probs with either. The bracket you see welded on the extractors is a mounting point for the heat shield...when I get around to fitting up the serpentine belt setup, electric fans, and then the heat sheild will fit.
