as above check you have connected everything back together.
what did you use to clean the throttle body?
usually spray throttle body cleaner straight into the throttle body as the car is on idile. when it goes to die release and wait for it to run smoothly before spraying more in.

im assuming i did cos i connected back everything i took off... is the map sensor the connection coming off the top of the body? i just took it for a drive to try and clear it... throttle is much more abrupt but seems more sedate thru the rev range... the cable is rather loose so should i tighten it a little?

thanks for everything anyway

I bet it's gotta be a hose..

I fitted a Yella Terra 71mm TB to a mates VR, and we left off a hose, mass black smoke, and rough as guts idle (sounded tuff, but was surely wrong!).. fitted the hose hiding under the TB and all good.
