hey all.... i have an eb2 5 speed and latley it has bee doing some weird s**t.
it only happens every now and then but when i get off the excelerator and start to slow down it starts to hop cough splutter and jump around like crazy. as soon as i feel this cumn on i put the clutch in and it will stop, then when you get back on the accelerator it might lag for a bit then take off no wories.
it quite embarrasing pulling up to the lights and having this happen as it looks like i dunno how to drive a manual but i asure you this isnt the case.
had a few people look at it... replaced the plugs dizzy cap rotor button leads dunno wats goin on!!!
any ideas????
please help

has knowone herd anything like this before???? had a few people look at it n cant work it out engine seems to be fine im thinkn maybe gears or cluch somthing like that ring any bells??
its such a pain in the a***!!!

Same thing happened in the old EFI XF 5spd we had.

They thought it was either a vacuum leak/problem, or a computer problem. Could be a few more things on the E series 4.0 though.

i have the same problem, and so far have ruled out sensors, and timing etc, looks like a vacume leak holding the throttle on which causes it to splutter momentarily on deceleration

have u tried replacing the idle control solenoid??

nah but i just got a new map sensor id say the idle sensor will be next
keep posted on how yours is goin mate
we;ll get through this hahahah
