yes but if its throwing that fault code, could the ECU possibly run the engine differently, like scale back timing etc. ??

I think the Jury is still out on that, the light is just to say the emissions are outside the range set, not sure if the ECU then adjusts anything to try and help ( i dont think it does, as my car seems the same whether the light is on or off)

yar, the light comes on just to tell you that your cat is "broken/not functioning correctly" only problem i can see with the light being always on, is if down the track you have a real problem with your engine, it will be harder to realize theirs and issue seeing as the indicator light would have been permanently on from the cat.

by the way that cat bolt that was posted up earlier, that's awsome, but not really needed, just the bolt part with out the cat would work fine, as long as the 2nd O2 sensor isen't in the path of higher flowing gasses you won't have the check engine light.

Does anyone have the ability to get to their O2 sensor to see if that threading would fit?
