my nf fairlane does a strang thing at a 100 on the freeway the D on the dash will turn on and off and the revs will go from 1800 to 2200 for about 5 seconds and will kepp doing it till i turn the car off. and it doesnt do it all the time any help would be great.

yeah definately the box. id throw the gearbox in for a service and get the bands tightened, otherwise id just throw in another box

Selector switch on trans maybe. Best to run a diagnostic and see what fault codes come up but better to erase them first then wait until it faults to obtain fresh fault codes.

thanks heaps guys. you were spot on joolz it was the selector switch pluged it and thats what it found thanks again.
