Hi Guys,
I've encountered a problem with my 1997 XH xr6 ute. Drove to work as per usual with no problems whatsoever, 10 hrs. later, bloody thing refused to start! eventually fired but was running real rough, like its dropped a cylinder. drove home (bout 60klms) problem remained constant. I thought plugs or leads initially so whacked new set of both in. Problem remains with no change. Its not using any coolant and oil is still clean, It is blowing black smoke and barely idling. Any clues as to what may be the culprit would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

possibly o2 sensor or vac leak at map sensor.

Thanks Ranga83, You were spot on. checked vac hoses and found the map sensor line had come off the manifold. Really cant thank you enough for the prompt reply and good advice. Cash is a bit tight round here for stuff like mechanics so diy is the only way i can go. You have literally saved the day (and my job). This thing is my daily, so no car, no job! Thank F**k for fordmods! (and ranga83!) :D

Cant believe how quick you guys were to offer up info, and good info at that! been on a few other forums before but you guys are the bomb, I reckon this site might make falcon ownership a whole lot easier to deal with. Very much appreciated!
