Hey guys.

Took off the engine lug on the intake side of my block tonight, had a rag under the lower thermostat housing to catch the coolant. Tried to start the car, and nothing. Seems the coolant got onto the TFI module.

What I am wondering is, are the TFI modules unable to handle a bit of water? Would this be what is stopping the spark? Screwed module?

Thanks.
Braiden.

Check for spark. If no spark remove dizzy cap and ensure its dry, if not spray WD 40 or similar. Check TFI module plug is dry inside. Also ensure plug lead caps are dry and again spray WD 40 or similar as you may have water shorting the spark. Its possible especially if the engine was still warm and water got on to the coil is has or already cracked and taken in water.
