OK this sounds f**k stupid but how the hell does my coolant cap come off.. last time my brother got it off and now it just won't clip up :S

Nah it doesnt, its totally lose except for 2 metal clips that go around the rim, cant get them out, it feels like theres 2 spaces for them to slip out but they wont

the clips may have been damaged, had this happen on the power steeng pump but in that case it wouldn't tighten.

keep turning it, i think you need to turn it a bit further to unclip it.

Or pry it off with a huge a** flat screw driver! ;)

lol, my mate who works for mercedes got it off for me today, said his grandads EL one was also annoying to get off. Just had to apply a lot of pressure.
