About 1.5 years ago my eb continually suffered from brack issues...

a. where the brake pedal would go rock hard [could not be pressed] for a second or two and than it would work. The abs light would than come on.

b. the abs light would just come on whenever. brakes not affected. [other than ABS not working, obiviously]

I bleed the brakes, new pads [bendix advance] and put DBA slotted on and the problem stop.

Last week i put the original rotors back on [DBA massively warped..whole car shaking when bracking], and last night the abs light came on [issue b].

Any one got any ideas as to what could be going on here? why would the standard rotors cause this problem?

Thanks in advance.

the ABS rotors are different to the non ABS rotors.

Its possible that the rotors that you had on before the DBA ones were for a non ABS vehicle

they wouldnt be origionals after this long. they could have been replaced with the wrong ones.

did they have a tone wheel on the back of the rotor?

im not to sure. They were the rotors on the car when i bought it.and they look standard. The problems didnt start until 3 years after i bought the car and i hadnt changed nothing on the brake system.
