Hi All

I am in the middle of pulling my head of the 4ltr and have found I don't have the correct length 1/2 inch extension to take the bolts out at the back of the head.

If you are in the Seven Hills area and have a 50mm extension you can lend me, or are able to give me a lift up the road to Super Cheap in Blacktown please give me a call on 0401 851 347.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards
BenJ

Good news, I managed to borrow the extension of a neighbour, however, I now can't put the Cam Gear back on the camshaft.

Any suggestions on how this should be done?

Regards
BenJ

Hi Smiley235

Thanks for the reply.

I did a search :) and found out I needed to undo the tensioner, which did the trick.

Now, i have just screwed the tensioner back in as the adjustment did not change when I screwed it out. I hope this should be OK.

I have packed up for today as well, everything hurts. I will finish the reassembly tommorrow. The head is tensioned and the exhaust manifold is back on, I just have to attach the inlet manifold and thermostat housing thingo, throw the rocker cover on, and deal with the readiator stuff.

Then cross fingers and hope it all works. LOL

Regards
BenJ
