one more question will i have to change my map sensor to a mpi one and is that the black box mounted agaisnt the firewall ?

The map sensors are the same part no. from ea to el

You will not need to change the MAP sensor, i have done the conversion before. Just use the original CFI one there but grab the map sensor hose of a MPI car because it's longer.

Hey Sik_Cordz, there is a tech write up on CFI to MPI conversion on the perth eseries website.

Just go to the EA_ED tech articles, you need to sign up as a member, it's free though and a good site.

HEy sorry mate huggie bear is right the mpi to cfi map sensors have different part numbers ive never realised! Im sure the difference cos they seem to run fine with both but must be different for a reason so I would suggest too to get one. Learn sumthing everyday :)
