Has anyone bought the Hi tech extractors? Joe from Glenroy Exhaust reccomended them to me as he reckons the Pacies just arent giving significant power increases anymore. Opinions on the Hi tech extractors would be great.

Also he said the cat back exhaust would cost $483 RRP as there is two parts i would need from the cat back being : STR 210 and STR 211.

All the threads i have been reading on exhausts have been saying u can pick up a mandrel bent 2.5" cat back straight thru for $250 - $300.

elXR could u explain this as i got Joe's number off you so i assume you have dealt with them.
thx

480 for the exhaust? Tell him he's dreaming, unless the headers are included. You can get el cheepo sports ones for as little as 150. And a decent Lukey one should cost much more over 200, plus a bit extra for nice tip, new gaskets and what not.
I'm sorry, but how could PAcemakers not be giving power increases any more? It's still the same design that they've been using for yonkers! What do the cars suddenly have an issue with them and decide not to run more efficently?
HiTech headers, only reason I could think they'd call them hi tech is to compensate for the lack of technology in em. After all, there's not that much difference in all the extractors, there not really something that advanced.
Sounds dodgey to me.

Hi Tech headers are just Gennie extractors with different name :)

i had hi tech headers on my old celica. very happy wioth them. guy at autobarn tried talkin me into buying some of them the other day. but i want the 4480's. speaking of witch

sprints - pacie 4480's = $465

Autobarn - pacie 4480's = over $600

guy tried spinning some s**t story, mixture of 'local supplier' and 'store procedure'. what a laugh.

also what price did you get quoted for the high tech. i think auto barn said $299
