As soon as my wrx gets sold. A mate just threw it up there today in the forsale section. Im hoping to get 12k for it... Whats the legality of dropping the BA series engine and tranny into an EA in NSW? I think its no longer allowed unless it the same series of engine...

How much money do you have for an engineer?

What about issues regarding the drive train? After the gearbox im guessing i need a modified tailshaft? Are there any LSD's out there that can be shimmed up to lock sooner and tighter?

Would anyone know if i can modify the steering ratios and arms to provide more lock and quicker/sharper steering response?

Im pretty sure you could have any ford LSD Pre-load bumped up... we did that in my mates EB just threw in some extra washers.

You could just run an allow shaft of get a two peice tail shaft conversion.

if this is gonna be a track car, then dont worry about getting it engineered.

It will also be my daily... thats the worry and where i live the cops are FANATIC about modifications cause this town is full of d***head thats drive modified R31's and VL turbos.... hence anything out of the ordinary will draw attention even though im on my full license.

I have seen them quite literally pull out a binder and measure how low this car was and they defected it because it was 4mm over the limit. How f**k up is that?

They will even look at the battery, oil leaks, wheel bearings... i have even seen a cop just sniff the exhaust fumes coming from this 180sx that was here and he added that to the defect list because it wouldnt have passed emissions... (his rings were gone at the time though, ;) )
